ADVISING INFORMATION

Professional advisors are available in the Center for Student Programs to provide support to student organizations. An advisor can help your organization:

  • Plan and implement innovative programming ideas
  • Recruit new members and motivate existing ones
  • Identify co-sponsors and partners from across the university
  • Access and manage your budget
  • Ensure compliance with university policies
  • Make purchases and handle financial paperwork
  • Reserve the spaces and equipment to make your event a SUCCESS!

Advisors can also help the members of your organization develop important leadership skills, such as:

  • Communication
  • Vision and goal-setting
  • Group motivation
  • Conflict management
  • Financial competency
  • Event planning
  • Organization and officer transition
